The Gibson's family business stretches back for over 100 years and is the oldest British owned company specializing in toys and games.
In its present form H P Gibson and Sons Ltd started selling toys and games around the time of the First World War and a number of games marketed under the "HPG" brand became very popular.
It was not until the late 1980s that Gibsons started producing jigsaw puzzles and from that time they rose quickly through the ranks to become the UK's leading supplier of jigsaw puzzles.
There are now more that 250 titles in the collection with puzzle sizes ranging from 2 pieces to 1,500 pieces. Over 50 new puzzles are released each year so the most avid enthusiasts can enjoy a puzzle every week!
The boxes used for the puzzles are always in their easily identifiable royal blue – their jigsaws can be instantly spotted in any shop display of assorted puzzles.

The speciality of the company is traditional scenes including paintings by British artists.
