Schmidt Spiele is a major German manufacturer of jigsaw puzzles with something of a chequered history - the business unfortunately went bankrupt in 1997 and their puzzles disappeared for a while. The business was bought by "Blatz-Gruppe" and they have maintained (resurrected!) the well known "Schmidt Spiele" name.

In the UK the business is making a comeback and has teamed up with Coiledspring Games with the intention to 'bring the exciting range of Schmidt Spiele games and jigsaws back to the UK'

They offer an extensive range of jigsaw puzzles suitable for all age groups, with piece counts varying between 10 and 3,000. A feature of their puzzles for children is that each one comes with a toy in hopes that children will want to collect the entire range. For adults there are both "conventional" images and "way out" ones!
