Disney Jigsaw Puzzles

Steam Boat Willie

Today we are looking at types of jigsaws that are available in the Disney range. Disney started making cartoons way back in 1923 – in 1928 Walt Disney released Steam Boat Willie which was the first cartoon to star Mickey Mouse. Minnie Mouse also appeared in that cartoon.

Have you always thought that jigsaw puzzles are just for children? Well, I am afraid that you couldn’t be further from the truth. Clinical trials have proven that puzzles are a positive way to slow down the onset of Alzheimer’s in addition to having many other benefits for people who do jigsaws. The people in the town of Talbot County, Maryland have just completed the Second Annual Jigsaw Olympics – have a read about what they got up to at the link below.

Below are some of our favourite puzzles from the Disney range.

Cobble Hill Jigsaw Puzzles

cobble-hill-logoThis week’s blog looks at the different Cobble Hill puzzles. I love the variety of puzzles that Cobble Hill make.
At the bottom of the page, there is also a very interesting video by Cobble Hill’s Allegra Vernon. It shows what goes into deciding which image will make a Cobble Hill jigsaw puzzle.

The link below will take you to a very interesting gentleman called Merle Weckworth who lives in Montevideo Minnesota which this year has been gripped by bad weather. Merle has a secret system for doing jigsaws – a concept that we have never seen before and possibly never will again. Follow the link and have a look.
